A real movie:
One thing in a real movie that you may notice is that there is a pattern in the opening credits. In older films opening credits were shown in white letters on a black background for the opening and closing of feature films. However, more recent films come across with more of a creative approach e.g. using computer graphics and visual elements. Even though the appearance of the titles has changed the order of the opening credits have stayed the same.
Opening:
Usually in the opening credits of a film the running order starts with distribution company or main studio backer. This is most likely going to be an independant distributer that did not finance the film so it will appear on its own. It is commonly listed as "Distribution Company Presents..." followed by the name of the production company. A lot of the time the production company will be established by you and can go from being just a name you have for yourself to a full fledged production house. This will appear as "A production company name production". After this the directors credits tend to come, labelling it "A directors name film".
Cast and title:
Following this we get the most prominent cast members. If you have largely famous celebrity names this is where they would go. Either way the main actors should be listed but only up to five. Then comes the title of the film. It would be beneficial to have the title of te film in a different font or colour to the opening credits.
Cast continued:
After the main characters you give the rest of the primary cast, this is everyone who has a main part in the script but is not the main focus of the plot. If there is a well known character who is playing a small role you may want to put their name on the end of the cast list by listing who they play.
All other above the line postions:
You need to make sure that there is a list of the director of photography, who did the primary score and who else the casting directors are. After this list all the producers both regular and executive also include the product designer. Finally, you will need to put in the editor which ends the list of normal primary positions. Then you will recap by putting any primary source the concept of the film came from as well include who wrote the screenplay. To finish off opening credits list the director again and do this by putting " film by...". If the director and the writer are the same person hold his early credit and put it with the higher role, in this case the director.

Opening credits:
The order of the credits generally follows the actors importance to the film not just alphabetically. First it's usually motion picture company, then the producer, then the film by credit. Then comes the title followed by the cast. From there we reverse the hole order of the importance guide line and go backwards to the director:
1-distribution company logo
3-production company logo
4-production company
5-production team
6-title
7-stars
8-casting directors
9-music composer
10-hair and makeup
11-costume designer
12-editor
13-production designer
14-director of photography
15-line manager
16-co-producers
17-executive producer
18-producer
19-writers
20-director
