This our blood making task. As a group we decided to make chocolate blood. We think that chocolate blood was a good blood to make as our final result was a deep red color and it was thick, but not too thick, which would be perfect for us to use in our horror opening sequence. The reason we did this is so that we could create gory horror scenes within our opening sequence. Blood would make our horror opening sequence look more realistic because if we are stabbing or attacking someone we need to see the gory side and be able to show the audience how realistic and bad the situation really is. The blood is also edible which allows the actor to put it in their mouth which could really make our opening sequence look realistic. With this skill we are able to make stabbings, blood splats across walls etc. and coughing blood up look real.

Our ingredients were
- Ingredients-
- 1/2 cup of warm water
- 4 TBSP of corn syrup
- 1 TBSP of powdered Cocoa
- 1 TBSP of red food colouring
What Went Well- All of the bloods we made were cheap and easy to make. They also didn't take very long to make which means we can make a lot of blood in a short period of time. With our chocolate blood it was also nice tasting so it wasn't hard to put into the actors mouths and being able to act as though it was coming from their mouth was made much easier. Also the texture of our chlocate blood came along nicely becuase it looked thick and
What we can improve- Personally for our group we wouldn't change anything about our blood, but with the other groups we could change things like how much water/ liquids is getting put into the blood (Cheap 'n' easy blood), we would also put more liquid into bloods like the gravy blood as it was very thick and didn't give much of an effect when it was being spat out of the mouth.
The making
step one- add coco powder and 3 table spoons of water into the bowl. Mix this until the coco powder has dissolved the water. (if looking very dry add more water)
step two- add 2-3 drops of red food coloring and mix. If the liquid looks orangery just add a few more drops until its a deep red.
step three- put 4 table spoons of golden syrup into the mixture and stir. If looking too thick add more water, if looking too watery add more golden syrup.

How to make the other bloods
Icing sugar blood
Icing sugar blood is easy to make and edible. This can help to create the effect of blood coming out of the actor mouths. The texture of the blood is smooth but with a slimy feel to it. It looks gloppy and thick.

Gravy blood
Gravy blood is another edible blood in which is simple to create. The texture is lumpy and thick and is not nice to eat so it is most probably more useful to throw across a wall, costume or floor.
